Biography

Fiorenza "Fio" Micheli is an Italian-American marine ecologist and conservation biologist. She serves as the David and Lucile Packard Professor of Marine Science, chair of the Oceans Department, and co-director of the Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions at Stanford University's Hopkins Marine Station. Micheli earned her PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and conducted post-doctoral research at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis.
