Fern Watson is the Manager of Emerging Tech and Research at the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). In this role, she conducts research and develops approaches at the intersection of technology and financial services regulation. She holds a PhD in Quantum Computing from Imperial College.

Her work combines a strong technical and analytical background with an innovation mindset, exploring both the opportunities and regulatory challenges presented by emerging technologies.
