Farinaz Koushanfar is an Iranian-American computer scientist who serves as a Professor and the Siavouche Nemat-Nasser Endowed Chair in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the UC San Diego Jacobs School Of Engineering. She is also a Founding Co-Director at the Center for Machine Intelligence, Computing, and Security (MICS).
Her research focuses on embedded systems, ad-hoc networks, and computer security. Koushanfar is a Fellow of AAAS, ACM, IEEE, and NAI.
