Farhad Manjoo is an American journalist and opinion columnist. He currently serves as an Op-Ed Columnist for The New York Times, a role he took on in 2018 after joining the paper in 2014 as a technology columnist, replacing David Pogue. Manjoo was born in South Africa in 1978 and moved to Southern California at age eight. He graduated from Cornell University in 2000, where he served as writer and editor-in-chief of The Cornell Daily Sun student newspaper.
