Evert Jan Baerends, born on 17 September 1945, is a Dutch theoretical chemist. He holds the position of emeritus professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Baerends also served as a Professor of Theoretical Chemistry at Pohang University Of Science And Technology.
