Etgar Keret, born in Ramat Gan, Israel, in 1967, is an acclaimed Israeli writer and filmmaker. He is the third child of Holocaust survivors from Poland. Keret pursued his education at Ohel Shem high school and later at the Adi Lautman Interdisciplinary Programme for Outstanding Students of Tel Aviv University.
Keret's literary career began with "Pipelines" (1992), a collection of short stories.
