Esther L. George is the former president and chief executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, a position she held from October 1, 2011, until her retirement on January 31, 2023. She joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City in 1982 and served there for over 40 years.
Throughout her tenure at the Bank, George held various leadership positions, including in research support functions, Public Affairs, and Human Resources.
