Ernst Fehr, born on June 21, 1956, in Hard, Austria, is an Austrian-Swiss behavioral economist and neuroeconomist. He holds the position of Professor of Microeconomics and Experimental Economic Research and serves as the vice chairman of the Department of Economics at the University of Zürich, Switzerland. His academic career also includes being an honorary member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
