Erika Woolsey is a marine biologist, ocean educator, and National Geographic Explorer. She serves as the Chief Scientist and CEO/Co-Founder of The Hydrous, an organization she co-founded in 2016.

In addition to her leadership role at The Hydrous, Woolsey holds academic affiliations, including a position as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University since 2019. She previously served as Teaching Faculty at Harvard Extension School from December 2019 to May 2020.
