Biography

Erika Lust, born Erika Hallqvist in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1977, is a Swedish feminist pornographic film director, screenwriter, and producer. She developed a passion for film and theatre early on. Lust attended Lund University, where she studied political science, graduating in 1999 with a BA specializing in human rights and feminism. During her studies, she was influenced by Linda Williams' 1989 book, "Hard Core: Power, Pleasure, and the 'Frenzy of the Visible'.
