Eric S. Lipton is an investigative reporter at The New York Times, based in the Washington Bureau. With a career spanning three decades, he has previously held positions at The Washington Post, the Hartford Courant, and the Valley News. Lipton is also the co-author of a historical account of the World Trade Center.
Lipton joined The New York Times in 1999, initially covering the final years of New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani's administration and the 2001 terror attacks.
