Biography

Dr. Eric D. Wachsman serves as the Director of the Maryland Energy Innovation Institute (MEI2) and holds the William L. Crentz Centennial Chair in Energy Research at the University of Maryland. His academic appointments are within both the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering at the university.

An expert in solid state batteries and fuel cells, Dr. Wachsman is also the Founder and Executive Chair of Ion Storage Systems.
