Biography

Richard Davies deBronkart Jr., widely known as e-Patient Dave, is a cancer survivor and prominent advocate for healthcare transformation. His personal experience with stage IV renal cell carcinoma in 2007, which had a median survival time of 24 weeks, led him to actively seek online resources and participate in his own care. Following successful treatment in a clinical trial, he became an activist for participatory medicine and personal health data rights.
