Emily Riehl is an American mathematician and a full professor at Johns Hopkins University, where she was appointed to the Kelly Miller professorship of mathematics in July 2024. Her academic focus lies in higher category theory and homotopy theory, with significant contributions to model structures and the foundations of infinity-categories, which was also the subject of her 2011 doctoral dissertation, "Algebraic model structures," completed at the University of Chicago.
