Biography

Elijah Anderson is the Sterling Professor of Sociology and of Black Studies at Yale University, where he directs the Urban Ethnography Project. He is a Stockholm Prize Laureate in Criminology, receiving the award in 2021 for his pioneering research. Professor Anderson is recognized as one of the leading urban ethnographers and cultural theorists in the United States.
