Biography

Eli M. Remolona Jr. is a distinguished Filipino economist who currently serves as the Governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the central monetary authority of the Philippines.

Appointed under the Bongbong Marcos administration, he assumed this role on July 3, 2023. In addition to his governorship, he holds the position of ex officio chairman of the Anti-Money Laundering Council, the central anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing authority of the Philippines.
