Edward Djerejian is a distinguished former United States diplomat whose career spanned eight administrations, from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton, between 1962 and 1994. His senior government positions included Special Assistant and Deputy Press Secretary to President Reagan, Ambassador to Syria, Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern and South Asian Affairs, and Ambassador to Israel.
