John McGeehan is a Scottish research scientist and professor of structural biology, currently serving as a Principal Scientist - Biochemical Engineering at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, Colorado, since 2024. He also holds a position as Visiting Professor at the University of Portsmouth since 2023. Prior to his role at NREL, he was the director of the Centre for Enzyme Innovation (CEI) at the University of Portsmouth until 2022.
