Sophie Scamps serves as the Federal Independent Member for Mackellar in the Parliament of Australia. In this role, she advocates for strong emission reduction targets, integrity in Canberra, a more equitable Australia, and a strong economy.

Prior to her political career, Scamps was a doctor in Mackellar for over 20 years. Her medical experience includes working in the emergency room at Mona Vale Hospital and as a general practitioner in Narrabeen.
