Dr. Sania Nishtar is the Chief Executive Officer of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, a role she assumed on March 18, 2024. A physician, cardiologist, and global health advocate, she previously served as a Senator in Pakistan.
From November 2018 to May 2022, Dr. Nishtar was the Special Assistant of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and Federal Minister, holding the Cabinet portfolio of Poverty Alleviation.
