Biography

Dr. Murat Ulgen serves as the Global Head of Macro Strategy at HSBC Global Investment Research. He has a long tenure at HSBC, having previously held the position of Chief Economist for Central & Eastern Europe and sub-Saharan Africa from 2009 to June 2014. Before this, he was the Chief Economist at HSBC Turkey from 2006 to 2009.

Prior to joining HSBC, Dr. Ulgen worked as an Economist at Merrill Lynch in London from 2004 to 2006.
