Biography

Ambassador Douglas Lute is the Chair of International and Defense at BGR Group. He previously served as the United States Ambassador to NATO from 2013 to 2017, appointed by President Obama. In this role, he was instrumental in designing and implementing the 28-nation Alliance's responses to significant security challenges in Europe.

A career Army officer, Lute retired from active duty as a lieutenant general in 2010 after 35 years of service.
