Dmitry Sergeyevich Peskov, born October 17, 1967, in Moscow, is a Russian diplomat and currently serves as the spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin since 2012. He graduated from the Institute of Asian and African Countries at Moscow State University in 1989, specializing in History and Eastern studies, and joined the Soviet Foreign Ministry in the same year. His father, Sergey, was also a Russian ambassador.
