Dirk Schoenmaker is a Professor of Banking and Finance at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. In addition to his academic role, he serves as a Bestuurslid at Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn (PFZW). His previous roles include Lid Raad van Toezicht at Staatsbosbeheer, Non-Resident Fellow at Bruegel, and Board Member at Impact Economy Foundation.

Schoenmaker's academic background includes a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Economics, Law.
