Dennis Lockhart is an American economist with a career spanning central banking, private finance, and academia. He served as the 14th President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from March 1, 2007, through February 28, 2017. In this role, Lockhart was a member of the Federal Reserve’s chief monetary policy body, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
