Denise Herzing is the founder and Research Director of the Wild Dolphin Project, a non-profit organization established in 1985 dedicated to the study of Atlantic spotted dolphins in the wild. As a behavioral biologist specializing in marine mammal behavior, she has focused her work for over 30 years on a resident community of these dolphins in the Bahamas.
