Demetre Daskalakis is an American infectious disease physician and gay health activist. He served in leadership roles at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from 2020 to 2025, including as Director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) and previously as Director of the Division of HIV Prevention.
