Deborah Birx is an American physician and diplomat. She served as the coordinator of the White House Coronavirus Task Force under President Donald Trump from 2020 to 2021. Prior to this, from 2014 to 2020, she was the United States Global AIDS Coordinator for presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump, overseeing the implementation of the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program in 65 countries.
