Biography

David Sun Kong, Ph.D., serves as the Director of the MIT Media Lab's Community Biotechnology Initiative. His research encompasses synthetic biology, biological design and art, collective intelligence, movement building, and STEAM learning. Beyond his scientific pursuits, Dr. Kong is also a community organizer, musician, and photographer.
