David Kidder (1787–1860) was an American politician born in Pownalborough, Massachusetts (now Dresden, Maine). He pursued classical studies, studied law, and was admitted to the bar, commencing his practice in Bloomfield. He later moved to Skowhegan in 1817 and Norridgewock in 1821.
Kidder served as the prosecuting attorney of Somerset County from 1811 to 1823.
