Biography

L. David Marquet is a retired United States Navy captain and a distinguished leadership expert. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1981 and served as the engineer officer aboard the USS Will Rogers (SSBN-659). In 1999, he was assigned to command the USS Santa Fe, a nuclear-powered attack submarine, which at the time ranked last in retention and operational standing.
