Biography

David Silver is an AI researcher, professor at University College London, and the CEO of the AI startup Ineffable Intelligence. He founded Ineffable Intelligence in November 2025 and left Google DeepMind in January 2026 to lead the company. In April 2026, Ineffable Intelligence announced it had raised $1.1 billion at a $5.1 billion valuation.

From 2013 to 2026, Silver worked full-time at DeepMind, where he led reinforcement learning research.
