David Isaac Laibson is an American economist and professor at Harvard University, where he has taught since 1994. He holds the title of Robert I. Goldman Professor of Economics and serves as the Faculty Dean of Lowell House.
His research interests include macroeconomics, intertemporal choice, behavioral economics, and neuroeconomics. In 2016, he became chairman of the Harvard economics department.
