David C. Krakauer, born on December 28, 1967, is an American evolutionary biologist. He was born in Hawaii, grew up in southern Portugal, and completed his secondary education in London, England.
He pursued higher education at Royal Holloway University of London, where he earned degrees in computer science and mathematics. In 1995, he received his DPhil in evolutionary theory from Oxford University, where he also continued as a postdoctoral research fellow.
