David Blumenthal is an academic physician and health care policy expert. He currently serves as President at Commonwealth Fund. From 2009 to 2011, he was the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology under President Obama, where he was responsible for setting policy for a nationwide health information system and supporting widespread meaningful use of health information technology.
