Darryll John Pines is an American aerospace engineer and academic administrator. He currently serves as president of the University of Maryland, College Park, a position he assumed on July 1, 2020. Prior to his presidency, Pines was the dean of the A. James Clark School of Engineering for 11 years and held the Glenn L. Martin professorship of aerospace engineering.

Pines began his academic career at the University of Maryland, College Park, joining the faculty as an assistant professor in 1995.
