Biography

Daren Tang Heng Shim is the fifth and current Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), having officially assumed his functions on October 1, 2020, for a six-year term. He also serves as Secretary-General of the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV).
