Daniel Hannan is a British politician, writer, and journalist. He served as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for South East England from 1999 to 2020, winning re-election in 2004 and 2009. In 2021, he became a sitting member of the House of Lords, taking the Conservative whip, and in 2020, he became an adviser to the Board of Trade.
Hannan was the first secretary-general of the Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe (ACRE), serving from 2009 to 2018.
