Daniel Georg Ek, born on February 21, 1983, in Stockholm, Sweden, is a Swedish businessman and technologist. He began his career in IT early, making websites and open-source technologies at fourteen. After graduating from IT-Gymnasiet in 2002, he briefly studied engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology before focusing on his IT career.
