Daisy Veerasingham is a British businesswoman and the current President and CEO of The Associated Press, a position she has held since 2021. Her appointment marked a significant milestone for the 175-year-old organization, as she became the first woman, first person of color, and first person from outside the United States to lead AP.
Veerasingham joined The Associated Press in 2004 as a sales director for AP Television in London.
