Biography

Cristina Vanberghen is a Professor and Senior Expert at the European Commission, a role she has held since 2013. She is globally recognized by the European External Action Service (EEAS) for her contributions to G7 and G20 work. Her academic affiliations include professorships at YSU, EUI, and McGill, and she previously served as a Director at Université libre de Bruxelles in December 2021.

Her career also encompasses significant leadership positions in European affairs and international law.
