Connor Leahy is a German-American artificial intelligence researcher and entrepreneur. He is the CEO of Conjecture, an AI startup focused on controlling AI systems and aligning them to human values, a role he has held since 2021. Leahy is also known for cofounding EleutherAI and for his warnings regarding the existential risk posed by artificial general intelligence (AGI).
In 2019, Leahy reverse-engineered GPT-2. He later co-founded EleutherAI with the goal of replicating GPT-3.
