Chris Meagher is an American political advisor and seasoned communications professional with over two decades of experience across government, media, and technology sectors. He served as Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs under Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, an appointment he received on September 9, 2022. Prior to this, Meagher was a White House Deputy Press Secretary in the Biden administration, a role he began on March 1, 2021, succeeding TJ Ducklo.
