Claudia Kemfert is a German economist whose work focuses on energy research and environmental protection. She leads the Energy, Transportation, and Environment department at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin), a position she has held since 2004. Additionally, she is a Professor of Energy Economics and Energy Policy at Leuphana Universität Lüneburg, a role she has held since 2020.
