Clarence Clifton "Cliff" Young, born in Lovelock in 1922, was an American politician and jurist. After earning a bachelor's from the University of Nevada and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, Young embarked on a distinguished career in public service. A Republican, he was elected to the U.
S. House of Representatives from Nevada's at-large district in 1952 and re-elected in 1954. He later sought the Republican nomination for the United States Senate in 1956 but was defeated.
