Christopher A. Sims is an American econometrician and macroeconomist, recognized for his significant contributions to the field. He currently holds the position of John J.F. Sherrerd '52 University Professor of Economics at Princeton University. In 2011, he was jointly awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with Thomas Sargent for their empirical research on cause and effect in the macroeconomy.
