Biography

Christine E. Wormuth is the CEO and President of the Nuclear Threat Initiative, a role she assumed in November 2025 after being named by the organization's Board of Directors in October 2025. She brings over 30 years of experience in defense policy, strategic planning, and international security to her current position.

Prior to her leadership at the Nuclear Threat Initiative, Wormuth served as the 25th Secretary of the U.S. Army from May 2021 to January 2025.
