Christian Wück was born on June 9, 1973, in Werneck, Germany. He made his Bundesliga debut for 1. FC Nürnberg on October 20, 1990, as an offensive player, becoming the third-youngest player in the league's history at the time.
In the following season, Wück scored seven Bundesliga goals, often coming on as a substitute. His playing career also included stints with Karlsruher SC, VfL Wolfsburg, and Arminia Bielefeld.
