Biography

Christian Sewing is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Deutsche Bank, a role he has held since April 2018. He is also the President of the Association of German Banks, a position he has held since 2021. Additionally, he served as President of the European Banking Federation from March 2023 to February 2025. Sewing began his career at Deutsche Bank as an apprentice in 1989, prior to the fall of the Berlin Wall.
