Chris Mattmann is the inaugural Chief Data and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO) at UCLA, a pioneering role within the UC system. In this position, he collaborates with stakeholders to develop strategy and roadmaps for data and AI innovations, establishes practices to monitor AI investments, and coordinates the adoption of emerging technologies while ensuring ethical and responsible practices.
